Africa-Press – Angola. The president of the provincial council of the Order of Architects of Uíge, Domingos Drupet, defended, this Friday, the improvement of the social conditions of the class.
The person in charge made this statement when speaking at the opening of the lecture on “The vision of the Order of Architects of Angola in relation to architecture and urbanism”, having mentioned that the institution lacks infrastructure and other means of work.
He explained that the order of architects survives on their quotas, a situation that makes the work of professionals difficult.
On the other hand, the person in charge expressed his willingness to contribute to the good of the class, such as providing technical support to the projects that will be implemented in the province, in order to guarantee the quality of the constructions.
He explained that the council has carried out several activities, such as visiting municipalities to inform about the function of the order, lectures at public and private universities, among other activities.
In turn, the provincial director of Technical Services and Infrastructures of Uíge, Pinda Zacarias Dongala, asked the architects to prepare a periodic report on the state of territorial planning.
The engineer said it is important to understand the impact of various economic and social programs, facilitate adjustments to territorial development plans or programs, as well as improve the vision of the future with regard to the development of the territory.
The Order of Architects in Uíge, created in 2001, controls a total of 25 professionals.
