Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, arrived this Friday in Luanda, the Angolan capital, to participate, on Saturday, 4, in the Extraordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The vice-president of Namibia and the prime minister of Leshoto are also in the Angolan capital. The three personalities were received by the Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António.

The extraordinary meeting, called last week, will address all important issues, taking into account the current situation in the DRC, namely the instability in the east of that country and the preparation for the elections.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is an inter-governmental organization, created in 1992, dedicated to socio-economic cooperation and integration in the region, as well as cooperation in political and security matters.

The SADC region includes Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, eSwatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
