Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, is already in Luanda to participate, this Saturday afternoon, in the Extraordinary Summit of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

The Extraordinary SADC Summit aims to address the current situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), namely the instability in the east of that country and the preparation of elections.

The presidents of Zambia, Hakainde Hichilema, of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa, the vice-president of Namibia and the prime minister of Leshoto, are already in Luanda.

The Southern African Development Community (SADC) is an inter-governmental organization, created in 1992, dedicated to socio-economic cooperation and integration in the region, as well as cooperation in political and security matters.

The SADC region includes Angola, Botswana, Comoros, Democratic Republic of Congo, eSwatini, Lesotho, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Seychelles, South Africa, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe
