Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, is already in the Sipopo conference room, in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to participate in the Extraordinary Humanitarian Summit and Donor Conference, in a joint initiative of UNICEF and the African Union.
According to the programme, the Presidents of the Republic Obiang Nguema Mbasogo (Equatorial Guinea) and Macky Sall (Senegal and acting President of the African Union), as well as Moussa Faki Mahamat (President of the African Union Commission), Martin Griffiths (United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator) and Aisha Halilu Buhari (First Lady of Nigeria).
At this event, an analysis of the humanitarian situation in Africa will be carried out, in addition to the discussions between the Heads of State and Government, present in Malabo, which will be followed by declarations and promises by the statesmen.
In the afternoon, before closing remarks, the program foresees declarations and pledges from the heads of delegations (partners, donors and the private sector), the adoption of the Declaration of the Conference on the Extraordinary Humanitarian Summit and Donor Conference is expected.
