Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, received, this Monday, in Luanda, detailed explanations about the Implementation of the “Kaminho Project”, valued at six billion US dollars (1 Dollar is equivalent to 847.42 Kwanzas).

Speaking to the press, at the end of the hearing, the chairman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of TotalEnergies, Patrick Pouyanné, said that he informed the Angolan Head of State about the “Kaminho Project”, located in the Kwanza Basin, 100 kilometers from coast, which, from 2028, is expected to produce 70 thousand barrels of oil per day, when fully operational.

“We are very satisfied. The basin has an estimated reserve of 350 million barrels and we will extract 70 thousand barrels per day, which should increase national production”.

To this end, he revealed, the platform and the entire underwater transport network are under construction in the People’s Republic of China, with the remaining material being produced locally, at Petromar’s shipyards.

The “Kaminho Project”, located in deep waters of the Kwanza Basin, will have two fields called “Cameia” and “Golfinho”.

TotalEnergies’ seventh Production Storage and Offloading Unit (FPSO) in Angola will also be in operation there, within which the most modern decarbonization techniques will be applied to reduce environmental impact.
