Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan President João Lourenço on Saturday toured exhibitors’ stands from the 21 provinces of the country, as part of the 5th edition of the Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola (FMCA) that takes place in the city of Benguela.

Accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, and his assistants, the Head of State took a long tour of the pavilions where municipal and urban infrastructure projects are exposed, such as housing and development zones.

Initiatives in tourism, family farming, local production, samples of services and intermunicipal cooperation are also on display.

FMCA 2025 brings together exhibitors from all provinces, offering a showcase for local products, services and projects aimed at investors, entrepreneurs and government representatives.

The Fair of Municipalities and Cities of Angola is a national event of great relevance that brings together municipal and provincial authorities, public institutions, private companies and civil society to promote local development on various fronts.

The 21 provinces and 326 municipalities of the country participate for the first time in this event, within the framework of the new Political-Administrative Division of the Country (DPA), whose special edition is part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of national independence.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Territorial Administration, with the support of the provincial governments, includes exhibitions, lectures and business meetings and aims to share information about their territories, projects, programs and investment opportunities.

It also aims to stimulate local development, encouraging partnerships and attracting investments to municipalities, promoting cooperation and exchange between different municipalities and cities and it works as a strategic platform that promotes dialogue, visibility and investment in the territories, strengthening local development and municipal governance.
