Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA’s XI parliamentary days begin on Tuesday (3), in Malanje, aiming, among other things, to take stock of the actions of the first parliamentary year of the fifth legislature, and to verify the socio-political and economic situation of the province.
Taking place until Saturday (7), under the motto “UNITA Parliamentary Group, for Democracy, citizenship and inclusive development”, the meeting will also serve to discuss aspects linked to democracy, citizenship and inclusive development of the country.
According to the second vice-president of the party’s parliamentary group and spokesperson for the event, Américo Chivukuvuku, for five days, deputies will also discuss matters related to the relationship between the National Assembly and the citizen.
The principles and rules for preparing the General State Budget (OGE) and respective monitoring mechanisms, as well as general notions about the economy, public accounts and macroeconomic indicators, are also among the subjects to be addressed.
The activity will be chaired by the president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, who will be welcomed in an audience by the provincial governor, Marcos Nhunga and will feature the participation of deputies, members of the Pra Já Servir Angola Project, among others.
The program also reserves courtesy meetings between the leader of political formation, archbishop of the Archdiocese of Malanje and bishop of the United Methodist Church, as well as trips to municipalities in the province.
