Africa-Press – Angola. Zaire’s Deputy Governor for Political, Social, and Economic Affairs, Afonso Nzolameso, asked municipal administrators to include concrete actions to support local businesses when drafting their proposals for the General State Budget (OGE) for the 2026 fiscal year.
According to the governor, who was speaking at the opening ceremony of the seminar on the preparation of the OGE for the 2026 fiscal year, boosting the economy requires valuing local production to stimulate private investment by supporting the province’s micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. He added that the country’s current economic and financial situation requires greater proactivity in identifying local revenue sources, rationally and sustainably exploring the potential that Zaire province possesses in a wide range of areas.
“It is essential that we understand that the State Budget should not only be a financial management tool, but also a true plan for socioeconomic transformation, capable of generating a real impact on the lives of our communities,” he emphasized.
Afonso Nzolameso said he hopes this seminar will become an opportunity to strengthen the skills of public managers in developing more robust and realistic budget proposals.
The seminar brought together municipal administrators, technicians from the budgeted units, and members of the Provincial Government.
