Africa-Press – Angola. Around 29 companies in the construction and inspection sector were notified by the National Public Contracting Service (SNCP) for alleged “serious” and “reiterated” contractual non-compliance with public projects in the province of Moxico.

According to an SNCP Notice, taking into account the difficulty that this body has in notifying some companies as it is in an uncertain part in relation to which there are “serious” and “reiterated” contractual non-compliance situations, are notified for a statement within eight days.

According to the aforementioned note, such a procedure “dangers” the public interest, and if they do not appear, these companies will be placed on a list where they will be prevented from concluding a contract with the State.

Among the companies in this condition, according to the SNCP Notice, the construction companies Yuhai Empreendimentos Lda, Elbro, JBD-Limitada, Organizações Zage & Santos, Lda, Bermaq Lda.

Also included are CRCC17, Yamba Yamba Kapanda, Chim Ngunza, Kutanga Kwetu enterprise, Agafe, Figueiredo Candengue, CDLG Lda, Jionee, KP & MA, Firma Carlos da Costa Lucendo, AC Chinhama, Ebomex Lda, Ana Barros – Engenharia e projects , Angoalb &Filhos Organizations, Ansecris, among others.

As part of the implementation of the Integrated Intervention Plan in PIIM Municipalities, the province awaits the completion of more than 50 projects, such as schools, health units, public lighting and water supply systems.

Some companies are being investigated by the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), for alleged contractual breaches in the execution of PIIM works.

The Municipal Administration of Camanongue, for example, denounced the companies Remidor Construções, Organizações Zage e Santos, JBD and KP & MA Investiment for alleged failures to complete the PIIM works in that location.

In the municipality of Luchazes, the second with the highest poverty rate in the country, the losses from the funds awarded for the construction of PIIM social projects are estimated at one billion kwanzas, also due to breach of contract by the contractors.

In that municipality of the province, only one school with seven classrooms, of the seven actions that the region was contemplated, was inaugurated, being a school built in the Muie commune, budgeted at more than 177 million, 905 thousand kwanzas.

In the district, according to data collected, the Government has already paid one million, 49 million and 592 thousand kwanzas to construction companies, over 90 percent of the global value of the projects.

Data indicates that the province of Moxico has 127 projects registered with PIIM, valued at more than 32 billion kwanzas.
