Africa-Press – Angola. The Government of Angola announced the launch of a public tender, subject to prior qualification, for the construction, operation and commercial management concession, for a period of 30 years, of the Arimba and Lombe Logistics Platforms, in the provinces of Huíla and Malanje, respectively.

According to a press release made available to press Friday, this is the fourth and fifth public tender, promoted by the Regulatory Agency for Cargo and Logistics Certification in Angola (ARCCLA).

This tender is in the same order as the concession of the Luvo, Soyo and Luau logistics platforms, part of the six logistics platforms foreseen in the first phase for the implementation of the National Network of Logistics Platforms (RNPL).

It is incumbent upon ARCCLA to organize and monitor the processes for the Concession of Logistic Platforms (PL), in addition to drawing up procedural parts based on the applicable legislation within the framework of promoting the National Network of Logistic Platforms.

Within the “layout” of the Logistics Platforms, in addition to the installations for the consolidation and deconsolidation of loads, the existence of customs warehouses to support the import, export and transit processes are foreseen.

The document states that the current national and international socio-economic context requires countries and regions to define strategies that encourage local production and guarantee the distribution of these products to the main points of consumption or manufacture or even for export.
