Mário Pinto de Andrade made these statements, at the end of the speech of the mass political act of the pre-campaign of the ruling party, guided by the president of the MPLA, João Lourenço, in the field adjacent to the Albano Machado airport.
The politician highlighted the works of the Integrated Plan for Intervention in Municipalities (PIIM) and the Program to Combat Poverty, with emphasis on the construction of more schools with seven classrooms, centers and health posts, improvement of public lighting in the municipalities and communes, rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary roads, school meals and the Cash Transfer Program “Kwenda”, which is improving the lives of the most vulnerable families.
Mário Pinto de Andrade also highlighted the reforms in the Justice sector, implemented over these five years, with evidence for the fight against corruption and impunity.
According to the MPLA deputy and coordinator of the Monitoring Group for the Province of Huambo, despite the difficulties in combating corruption, impunity and flattery, accountability has been greatly improved in the country.
“We saw that today the Justice, the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) act differently, as well as the courts that have had the courage to judge, without harming the political and social status of the citizen, who should be tried or not. , taking into account the position of innocence”, he reaffirmed.
He underlined that President João Lourenço wants to galvanize the electorate, to continue solving the people’s problems, mainly in the fields of Education, Health, Housing, Water and Energy, having pointed out as more recent examples the inaugurations in the province of Huambo of the Halavala Central , in the municipality of Bailundo, the substations of Dango, in the capital city and of Bailundo.
