Africa-Press – Angola. The body of the 30-year-old young man, who died on Wednesday, after falling into a crack in Alto Bimbe, nearly 250 meters deep, in the municipality of Humpata, province of Huíla, was rescued on Thursday by the fire department.

The information was provided Friday, in Lubango, by the acting spokesperson for the Civil Protection and Fire Service of Huíla, Francisco Matias, stating that the incident occurred in crack number two in Alto Bimbe, commune of Neves.

Citing family sources, the young man was trying to locate part of the lost herd of cattle and lost his balance.

Citing relatives, the source stated that the victim left his residence on the 19th of the current month, with the intention of locating his herd of oxen, missing in the forest and heading towards the cliff, falling into the cliff almost 300 meters high. .

He said that the personnel involved in the process, from firefighters, agents from the National Police and the Criminal Investigation Service, needed six hours to rescue the citizen’s body at the scene.
