Africa-Press – Angola. The acting director of the Provincial Office for Economic and Integrated Development, Isaías André, stated this Monday in Saurimo (Lunda Sul), that the standardization of inspection procedures requires close collaboration from all parties involved.
The person responsible, who made the considerations, during the opening of the training on inspection procedures, also defended the reinforcement of inspection actions on economic activities, with a view to stopping tax evasion and the consequent increase in State revenues.
“Only with rigorous inspection action by the State can we guarantee the satisfaction of needs and safeguard the rights of consumers, which is why the National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety (ANIESA) and its partners are called upon to act effectively to achieve these goals. ”, he stressed.
He also stated that an inspection role must be played throughout the country’s economic activity, acting preventively against the production, marketing and import of dubious products, combined with price speculation.
For his part, the deputy provincial coordinator of ANIESA, Dário Chicapa, said that the training action aims to improve staff procedures in the investigative aspect to deal with economic and food irregularities by industrial and commercial agents.
For five days, 30 participants in the event promoted by ANIESA will be trained in matters of inspection and supervision, fundamental rights and duties in the exercise of functions, crimes against the consumer and the market.
Topics such as illegal health care, risks to human life, and interrogation and document preparation techniques are also part of the training.
Participating in the event are municipal inspection directors, technicians from the General Labor Inspectorate (IGT), General Tax Administration (AGT), Criminal Investigation Services (SIC), Provincial Health Office, among others.
The National Authority for Economic Inspection and Food Safety is a State body created in 2020, with the objectives of promoting greater administrative effectiveness and efficiency, as well as eliminating the duplication of inspection actions, based on a new action strategy.
ANIESA’s mission is also to reduce bureaucracy in procedures and improve the business environment in the country and operates in the areas of health, commerce, agriculture, interior and others.
