Africa-Press – Angola. The water supply to the centrality of Lobito and surrounding areas has already been restored, after residents were deprived of this liquid for more than seven days.
The interruption was due to a rupture in the DN-400 pipeline, which has since been repaired.
According to the PCA of the Water and Sanitation Company in Benguela, Paulo Jorge, the rupture was verified at the Lobito Velho substation and was overcome by CITIC.
According to the person responsible, this rupture had affected the entire supply system in the upper area of Lobito, which forced this interruption during this period.
He added that EASB will continue to work so that gender-related situations can be resolved more promptly in the near future.
The PCA of the Water Company appealed to the population to remain calm, as EASB has done everything to improve the provision of services to consumers.
