Africa-Press – Angola. Twenty-three foreign citizens were expelled in the province of Lunda Sul, during the last three months, by the Migration and Foreigners Services (SME), as part of actions to combat illegal immigration.

These are citizens of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), who were sent to the provinces of Lunda Norte and Moxico in order to be expelled from the national territory from the borders of Txissanda and Luau, for migratory infractions.

According to the document, illegal immigrants were stopped in the peripheral neighborhoods of Saurimo, especially markets, public roads, commercial establishments and taxi stops.

The aforementioned foreign citizens intended to reach the country’s capital.

The note also reads that during the period in question, eight voluntary exit guides were issued, for not having the means of subsistence and for illegally staying in the country, and fines were applied to 22 foreign citizens of different nationalities.

In the field of migratory acts, it states that 29 ordinary passports were requested and 277 ordinary passports were issued to nationals.

Fifty-six visas were issued and extended to foreign citizens and nine resident cards were issued.

The document states that there are currently 357 ordinary passports to be issued.

The SME in Lunda Sul controls 825 foreign citizens with the status of holders of a work visa, temporary stay, residence, refugee card and provisional declarations of asylum application.
