Africa-Press – Angola. Sonangol, this Tuesday, won the award for national oil company of the year, at the “African Energy Week 2023”, in the event that takes place between the 16th and 20th, this month in Cape Town, South Africa.
According to the statement published on the Angolan oil company’s website, the award was received by administrator Osvaldo Inácio, who, at the time, considered the award as recognition of the efforts and investments of recent years.
“This award is the result of the remarkable efforts that the company has dedicated to the stability of the oil and gas sector, in Angola and on the continent, as well as the commitment to sustainability and the energy transition”, reads the note.
According to the note released, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Sonangol, Gaspar Martins, remotely, considered that the award is the result of teamwork and the commitment of employees aligned with the objectives of the company and the country.
Africa Energy Week 2023 is the continent’s main energy event and brings together experts and industry leaders to discuss Africa’s energy future.
