Africa-Press – Angola. Startup SIA, Toke Média and Bayka Pay are the winners of the 2nd edition of the Angola Startup Summit 2023, in the categories of “BCI Challenge”, “MEP Challenge” and “GPL Challenge”.

The award gala based on three categories, marked the closing, this Saturday, in Luanda, of the 2nd edition of the event that took place from 27 to 29 April under the motto “Innovation and technology as vectors for the size of startups in Angola”.

The winners who received a prize of 10 million Kwanzas each will also benefit from a PwC business plan, promoted by Deloite in the area of ​​legal, accounting and management consultancy and the internationalization of the startup offered by KPMG .

For Erivaldo Munjanga, one of the members of the SIA group, winner of the “BCI Challenge” category, representing the country in Portuguese lands is an opportunity to grow in business, exchange experiences and mature.

He said that SIA works as an ecosystem per minute and can generate gains for the country. The “BCI Challenge” is a category focused on solutions for agribusiness and monitoring the startup until maturity.

For the representative of the startup Toke Media, Célio Garcia, winner of the “MEP Challenge” category, obtaining the award represents the hard work and excessive effort undertaken by the group.

The categories “MEP Challenge” consists of a catering solution that allows access to the bar code.

The “GPL Challenge” category, which fell to STRAT-UP “Bayka Pay”, consists of a solution for parking in the country’s capital.

The award ceremony took place in the amphitheater of the Higher Polytechnic Institute of Technologies and Sciences (ISPTEC) and was attended by the Minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João, and members of the Government.

The event brought together companies, government institutions, accelerators, incubators, co-working, universities, investors and other players in the startup ecosystem in the same space.

Startups from the provinces of Cunene, Huíla, Malanje, Zaire and Luanda were represented.
