Africa-Press – Angola. The Supreme Court and the Financial Information Unit initialed, this Wednesday, in Luanda, a protocol of cooperation and technical assistance in matters of preventing and combating money laundering and terrorist financing.
The agreement was signed between the president of the Supreme Court, Joel Leonardo and the general director of the Financial Information Unit, Gilberto Capeça.
On the occasion, Joel Leonardo highlighted that the protocol will serve to protect the stability and integrity of the financial system, internal security and promote sustainable economic development for the country and citizens.
In turn, Gilberto Capeça announced that Angola is free from cases of terrorist financing, and that a set of actions is being developed to combat money laundering and financing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction.
