Africa-Press – Angola. Miguel Belbruno, new coach of the National Senior Men’s Roller Hockey Team, assumed that he will do everything to have an organized and compact team, in view of the upcoming commitments of the Angolan team.
The fact was revealed by the coach, in statements to the press, last week, when it was officially presented. For Miguel Belbruno, the objective is to make a good performance in the African Championship, to be played in Cairo, capital of Egypt, and in the World Cup in the city of San Juan, Argentina, scheduled for the last quarter of 2022.
“It was with great pride that I accepted to coach the Angolan national team. It has an excellent team, with five or six high-level players competing in the various European leagues. We will work because the objective is to play a good role in the competitions that lie ahead”, he assured. .
As for the challenges, the coach revealed: “I took responsibility, I will fight until the end”, adding that he will also bet on the human component. The National Team participates in the African Championship, now called African Skating Games, on 28 September to October 2nd.
The national team is led by an Argentine for the first time, it also competes in the World Skating Games, from October 24th to November 2nd. The replacement for the Portuguese Fernando Fallé will have Alberto Domingos “Jó” as his assistant, current coach of Académica de Luanda.
Belbruno, physical education teacher and former coach of Brazil and Colombia, also had spells at Concepcion and San Juan, both from Argentina. João Cruz and Bastos de Abreu (already deceased), Nelson Costa, Miguel Riera, Nelson Amado “Sony”, Orlando Graça and Fernando Fallé have already assumed the position.
