Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, left Luanda on Wednesday afternoon, bound for Addis Ababa, where he will represent the President of the Republic, João Lourenço at the 35th Ordinary Session of Heads of State and Government of the African Union, taking place from 5 to 6 in the Ethiopian capital.
The meeting will, among other things, witness the handover of the Rotating Presidency currently held by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Félix Tshisekedi, to the Head of State of Senegal, Macky Sall, in addition to discussing issues of peace and security, in particular highlighting the terrorism and coups that are taking place on the continent.
The 35th Ordinary Session of Heads of State and Government of the African Union will also address the Covid-19 Pandemic Management Report, which aims to find relevant solutions for the continent, as well as the institutional reforms underway in the organization.
The African Union (AU) is the international organization that promotes integration between the countries of the African continent in the most different aspects.
