Africa-Press – Angola. The provincial commander of the National Police in Uíge, Commissioner Monteiro Matias dos Santos, died this Saturday afternoon, presumably the victim of a stroke.
Information obtained from the emergency department at the Uíge General Hospital (HGU) indicates that the victim was found dead on the public road (inside the vehicle), approximately 300 meters from his residence.
Aged 63, Commissioner Monteiro Matias dos Santos was appointed to the position of provincial commander of the PN and delegate of the Ministry of the Interior in Uíge in March 2020.
Born in the province of Luanda, the commissioner held, among other roles in the corporation, that of second provincial commander of the National Police in Namibe.
