Theater group Artpentu presents play “United for public health”

Africa-Press – Angola. The theater group Artpentu from Saurimo (Lunda Sul) showed, on Sunday, the play entitled “United for Public Health”, with the aim of discouraging negligence in the medical profession and investing in the humanization of services.

At the end of the play’s presentation, the group’s artistic director and director, Elias Kupessala, said that the exhibition also served to celebrate Health Workers’ Day, which is marked.

He explained that the piece discourages bad practices by healthcare professionals, such as what recently happened to the patient who ended up dying outside the Américo Boavida Hospital, in Luanda.

He stressed that, despite the floods that the Emergency Banks are experiencing, these professionals must perform their role well, living up to their oath, which is based on saving lives.

Likewise, he called for the union of technicians, from stretcher bearers, nurses, doctors, wardrobe workers and drivers, aiming to work fruitfully in favor of public health.

In existence since 2020, the group brings together 20 members and displays several pieces that portray the daily lives of the people, seeking to rescue moral values.
