Africa-Press – Angola. The TPA Production Center in Malanje was reopened Thursday, after requalification work, as part of the modernization that the organization has been developing at the level of the central studios and provincial departments.

The infrastructure, named António Cazanga, in posthumous homage to the first director of the then TPA Correspondence Office (1991-1998), includes two image editing rooms, a room for camera operators, recording, editorial, studio, meeting room and an auditorium with capacity for 43 people.

The requalification of the Production Center, which has new equipment, aims to dignify professionals and guarantee better working conditions.

The ribbon cutting was done by the provincial governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, and the Secretary of State for Social Communication, Nuno Caldas Albino.

When speaking on the occasion, the governor of Malanje, Marcos Nhunga, pointed to modernization as the path that any institution must follow to continue to deserve the trust of those who serve, through the guarantee of quality services.

He praised the informative dynamics that the TPA in Malanje has undertaken in recent times, but called for a reinforcement of the focus on publicizing the province’s potential and achievements in different areas, with a view to attracting investors.

He urged journalists based in the province to be rigorous, always paying attention to the norms that guide the profession, with particular emphasis on the contradictory principle.

He expressed the Provincial Government’s willingness to resolve the problems that still afflict the class, as well as greater openness in access to information, with a view to clarifying citizens and avoiding speculation.

In turn, the director of the TPA/Malanje Production Center, Eliseu Botelho, highlighted the engagement of the organization’s board of directors in the requalification of the building, which will provide greater comfort to employees.

On the other hand, he requested more support from the local government, with a view to producing a local magazine.

Eliseu Botelho said that the center will, in the near future, direct its efforts to mobilizing local businesspeople to invest in advertising their businesses, as well as encouraging them to invest in the production of television content, within the scope of social responsibility.

The re-inauguration of the TPA/Malanje Production Center was attended by judicial magistrates and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, members of the government, heads of public media bodies in Malanje, provincial directors of the TPA from all provinces of the country, former local directors, among others.
