Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of UNITA in Huambo province, Apolo Yakuvela, called this Saturday for the strengthening of political debates between militants, for respect for the diversity of opinions and compliance with democratic principles.
The politician was speaking during the JURA provincial conference in Huambo, which aimed at the election of delegates to the 5th ordinary congress of the youth arm of UNITA, to be held from March 15 to 17, in Luanda, under the motto “JURA- innovate and mobilize To win”.
On the occasion, Apolo Yakuvela highlighted the importance of respecting the party’s guidelines, with a view to accepting all critical and self-critical approaches, with the aim of elevating and consolidating democracy in the country.
He asked the delegates to the 5th JURA congress to work with a spirit of mission, so that, after the conclave is over, on 17 March, the youth arm of UNITA can be more united, cohesive and strengthened.
The party official hopes that the V JURA congress will bring a comprehensive program, capable of influencing the expectations of the Angolan youth, for social well-being.
JURA was founded on July 18, 1974, by David Janotão, who was its first president.
