Africa-Press – Angola. The secretary of UNITA in the province of Cuando Cuabango, Joaquim Savindo, Saturday, in Manongue, appealed to the need for JURA to reinforce the principles of dialogue, in order to adapt the conduct of militants to the context of the new times.

The party member made this appeal at the opening of the V JURA provincial conference, which will take place over two days, with the participation of 150 members, with the aim of electing delegates to the V National Congress of the Organization to be held in Luanda, from 15 to 17 Next March.

Joaquim Savindo stressed that the debate of ideas should be based on the political and ideological principles of the party, with a focus on the dignity of Angolans, patriotism, democracy, freedom and social justice.

For the politician, the main focus of the deliberative body should not be the dispute of candidates for the highest seat of the executive of the JURA, but the debate of ideas focused on strategies, in ways to adapt the behavior of the militants to the context of the new times.

He said that the confrontation of ideas, the principle of criticism and self-criticism for an action that corresponds to the expectations of the youth group, are based on the commitment and fulfillment of these premises.

JURA was founded on July 18, 1974, by David Janotão, who was its first president.
