Africa-Press – Angola. To consult civil society organizations in relation to the institutionalization of local authorities in Angola, a delegation from the UNITA Parliamentary Group is in Caxito, Bengo province, to collect contributions from the population.
For six days, deputies will hold meetings with religious leaders, listen to the population, professional associations (unions), carry out solidarity actions and visit the municipalities of Ambriz and Dande.
Speaking to the press, the group’s coordinator, deputy Peregrino Isidro Wambu Chindondo, said he was looking forward to the contributions from the inhabitants of Bengo on the topic.
He recalled that the province of Bengo was the birthplace of many nationalists and UNITA considers its population’s opinion on the effective institutionalization of local authorities to be important.
The delegation led by deputy Peregrino Isidro Wambu Chindondo includes parliamentarians Clementina JoseĢ da Silva, Moniz Alfredo and Joel Pacheco.
