Africa-Press – Angola. Afonso Baptista Dumba was presented Thursday, in Luena, as the new provincial secretary of UNITA in Moxico province, replacing João Muzaza Caweza, who has been in charge since 2005.
João Muzaza Caweza, now holds the position of Deputy National Secretary for Staff Management at UNITA.
The act of presenting the new official to party militants and sympathizers fell to UNITA’s general secretary, Álvaro Chikwamanga Daniel.
Afonso Dumba, 62 years old and born in the commune of Camgumbe (Moxico), was provincial secretary for Electoral Affairs.
At the act, the new provincial secretary of UNITA in Moxico, Afonso Baptista Dumba, said that he would work with old and young militants, for the continuous progress of the party in the region.
The party’s general secretary, Álvaro Daniel, in appealing for support to the new leader in Moxico, recalled that UNITA’s idea is to rejuvenate party management, and that the new manager has a vast political curriculum, in addition to knowing the eastern region of the country, especially the province in which he will lead.
Afonso Baptista Dumba, was presented to the provincial governor of Moxico, Ernesto Muangala.
