UNITA president calls on militants to retain patriotism and tolerance

Africa-Press – Angola. The president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, defended in the municipality of Matala, Huíla province, the need for its militants to continue to observe the principles of conduct and spirit of citizenship, in order to preserve peace and national reconciliation.

When addressing the theme on the “state of the nation, main opportunities and challenges, in the circumscription” the politician underlined that Angola is a country that has achieved peace, therefore, the party militant must maintain the patriotic and tolerance spirit, because the war it slows down the economy and economic stability which only destroys conscience and social infrastructure.

According to the politician, Angola and Angolans are called upon to contribute to the development plans drawn up by the executive, a crucial element in the fight against poverty and social inequalities and, with that, to avoid unnecessary charges.

He also highlighted the pertinence of youth to become more interested in the practice of family farming, such as opportunities to generate income and direct and indirect employment for others.

In his view, young people are leaving their areas of origin for the big cities in search of opportunities and they are the same ones who end up demanding better food conditions without, however, working the land.

The president of Unita and the accompanying delegation carried out the activity in Lubango and Quilengues for three days and is returning to Luanda this Friday.
