Africa-Press – Angola. UNITA reiterated this Thursday, in Luanda, that the signing of the Luena Complementary Memorandum of Understanding opened new and better expectations for Angolans, in all areas.
In its declaration on the 4th of April, Day of Peace and National Reconciliation, marked today, it states that it has fully complied with the aforementioned agreement and has completely transformed itself into a democratic political party, in light of the Constitution of the Republic.
Remember that the date appears in the History of Angola, as the day of Peace and National Reconciliation, at the culmination of a long process that was based on the Alvor Agreements, in January 1975, Bicesse, in 1991 and Lusaka, in 1994.
UNITA salutes the Angolan people for the achievement of this precious asset that embodies the Angolans’ aspirations for harmony and socioeconomic and cultural development in Angola.
He criticizes the party in power for the non-institutionalization of local authorities and the uncontrolled increase in the prices of basic food products, among others.
On the other hand, she says she is open to dialogue because she believes it is the supreme way of solving men’s problems.
It states that UNITA remains open to all social partners to, by consensus, find the best solutions to the most relevant existing problems.
