Africa-Press – Angola. The United States of America (USA) reaffirmed, this Wednesday, in Luanda, its continued support for the development and progress of Angola.
The position was expressed by the US ambassador to Angola, Tulinabo Mushingi, during a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, which served to address issues related to the strengthening of bilateral cooperation, as well as American investment in the Lobito Corridor, with a view to boosting commerce, industry and other sectors in neighboring countries and surrounding areas.
During the meeting, the two interlocutors also analyzed aspects linked to the regional and multilateral agenda, namely the situation in Eastern DRC, the political crisis in South Sudan, as well as the arrival, this month, in Angola of a delegation of Senators from Congress North American for official contacts with the Angolan authorities.
The objectives of the foreign policy of the United States of America in Angola have been, among others, to promote and strengthen democratic institutions, promote economic prosperity, improve health and consolidate peace and security.
