Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Bornito de Sousa, presides this Friday, the 6th Ordinary Session of the National Water Council (CNA), a permanent consultative body of the Holder of the Executive Power, responsible for the coordination and articulation between the different Ministerial Departments linked to to the planning, management and use of water resources.

From the meeting’s agenda, we highlight the memoranda on Basic Sanitation led by local Communities and Schools, on Structural Works to Combat Drought in Southern Angola and on the Protection and Conservation of the source of the Cunene River.

The CNA will also be informed about the creation of partnerships with the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF), the world’s largest private organization for the preservation of the environment, which is dedicated to technical support and mobilization of resources for local projects for the preservation of water resources, with the engagement of riverside communities.
