Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, arrived this Wednesday in the province of Huambo, for a three-day working visit, as part of the privileged monitoring of the Education, Higher Education and Environment sectors.

Upon arrival at Albano Machado Airport, Esperança da Costa received welcome greetings from the governor of Huambo, Lotti Nolika.

The Vice-President of the Republic’s work agenda includes visits to the Center for Tropical Ecology and Climate Change (CETAC) and Higher Education institutions, with emphasis on the faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Economics and Law.

According to the local government program, Esperança da Costa will verify the operating conditions of the Huambo Municipal Hospital, located in the Cambiote sector, and the Professional Training Center of the Benguela Railway (CFB) .

It also includes a presentation of the state of play on Road and Traffic Planning in the province, a visit to the Girls and Women in Science Fair and a meeting with the academic class.

During her stay, the Vice-President of the Republic travels to the municipality of Cachiungo, where she visits strategic points of social and economic interest and will meet with rural women.

With a territorial extension of 35 thousand and 771 square kilometers and a population density above two million and 600 thousand inhabitants, the province of Huambo is located in the central region of the country and is administratively composed of 11 municipalities, 37 communes and three thousand 387 villages.
