Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, received Tuesday, Rosa Roque, mentor of the musical group “As Gingas do Maculusso”, and the general secretary of the Council of Christian Churches of Angola (CICA), Deolinda Teca.
Upon leaving the meeting, Rosa Roque mentioned to the press the Vice-President’s interest in aspects linked to traditional and popular culture, as well as the fact that she greatly values the group and the work of the “Gingas do Maculusso”, expressing her interest in seeing They are well referenced in the Semba project, as intangible world heritage.
The meeting, held in Luanda, was part of the scope of the National Multi-sectoral Commission for the Safeguarding of World Cultural Heritage and the inscription of semba as intangible world heritage, as well as the inventory process of this genre of music and dance (semba).
She made it known that, as artistic director and promoter of shows, she is pleased that the Vice-President expresses an interest in supporting and contributing to the projects happening, with emphasis on a Children’s Festival and the show Delírio Musical (scheduled for this year) , whose objective is to involve the big names in semba and other important currents of popular and traditional music.
With the Vice-President, he said, he also spoke about the planned launch of a book on the hemodialysis process in Angola, which has been subjected to, highlighting the authorities’ seriousness and commitment to treating patients who require this type of support, hence the book will be your testimony.
Likewise, he expressed his satisfaction with the fact that he found that the Vice-President is interested in working with the artistic class to help banks and entities that manage the national economy receive support easily.
Rosa Roque is the mentor of the group As Gingas do Maculusso, which began its journey in 1983, on one of the children’s programs on Rádio Nacional de Angola.

Also today, the Vice-President of the Republic received the outgoing secretary general of the Council of Christian Churches of Angola (CICA), with whom she discussed aspects related to the ongoing partnership between churches and the Executive in carrying out social causes, with the main focus in women and children.
To the press, Deolinda Teca, who leaves office on April 20 of this year, said that she went to meet the Vice-President of the Republic to discuss issues related to women and children, and the prospect of carrying out projects related to girls.
He made it known that the church has been playing its role, but the main objective was to reinforce cooperation and the commitment to continue working in this aspect, “because if we want to have a country in which values are truly respected, it is necessary that let us work from the ground up, with children, adolescents and young people”.
During the meeting, Deolinda Teca presented a project to create a school that, within a few days, will house some children and even teenagers, to be installed in the urban district of Ramiros, in the municipality of Belas.
He informed that the project will help the communities, which is why they count on the Government’s support to teach people how to read and write, as well as the moral and civic values that must be preserved from the initial phase.
On April 20th of this year, Deolinda Teca will leave the position she held for two terms of five years each to Reverend Vladimir Agostinho, elected during the 23rd General Assembly of CICA, held in February this year for a 5-year term.
On February 24th, CICA celebrated 47 years of existence and elected its eighth general secretary, since its foundation in 1977.

Cumbi Júnior, President of the National Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Angola, was also received today by the Vice-President, having taken advantage of the meeting to make the official invitation to the National Conference of Young Women Entrepreneurs of Angola, which will take place on Saturday (16th), in Luanda, with the theme “The role of female leadership in the process of economic and social diversification of the country”.
