Africa-Press – Angola. The writer J.Karykoku, literary pseudonym of João Salvador Catato Gunza, launched, on digital platforms, in Menongue, capital of Cuando Cubango, his work entitled “Paper War for Literature Lovers”.
The book has 47 pages. All editorial work was the responsibility of Versos Editora.
To access the book, customers who participated in the launch day, on Wednesday, had to make a symbolic payment of 500 kwanzas, while from Thursday, simply access the link https:// versoseditora.online.
J.Karykoku said that the work is a response to a project that had already been in the pipeline since the launch of the previous one, in December 2023, entitled “The right way to smile”.
It was inspired by the writer’s observation of the coexistence of different couples, who fight over the division of roles in the home and in society.
It was justified as a purposeful tale, especially for Valentine’s Day, as it presents a set of responses linked to female empowerment and the role of gender in a given relationship.
In this particular, he highlighted the deep reflection on who demands the most, in a relationship, in terms of gifts and what should be done for each person and the couple.
The author states that it is difficult to distinguish the most demanding gender from the role war, although he understands that women feel they have the greatest right to receive, demand and demand, a trend with greater support among less empowered women.
He justified that launching in digital format as an E-book became more economical and more comprehensive for the reading public, not only in the province of Cuando Cubango, but in Angola in general and even in other regions of the world.
The provincial delegate of the Young Literature Brigade also highlighted the translation of the work into English and French as the next challenge, ensuring that it is now possible to edit and print books using Cuando Cubango.
