Africa-Press – Angola. Young people from Bié participated in an arts festival, held in the city of Cuito, to encourage entrepreneurship, through the various forms of artistic expression.

In an initiative by the NGO People In Need (PIN), in partnership with the Associação dos Jovens Movidos por Angola (Ajoma) and the Provincial Office for Youth and Sports, the arts festival (FesArt) was held on the basis of the project “Youth for Change ”, implemented by the aforementioned NGO in the provinces of Bié and Huíla.

The deputy head of People In Need’s mission in Angola, Kaiphas Kakoma, said that the objective is to empower young people to be active citizens, capable of contributing to the country’s development. The NGO’s actions, he added, are not only geared towards the entrepreneurship sector, but also towards artistic-cultural growth.

During the activity, participants discussed topics of social interest, including art as a way of rescuing ethical and moral values ​​and promoting citizenship, the challenges of art in the technological context and cultural manifestation and socio-economic development through art.
