Africa-Press – Angola. Fifty young people from the province of Uíge benefited from free training on VOIP telephony, cybersecurity, digital marketing and social media management, in an initiative of the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL).

The six-day intensive training, which started this Saturday at the Technological Center of Uíge, is being guided by 12 trainers from the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Social Communication (MINTCS)

The director of the Technological Center of Uíge, Virgílio Cordeiro João, said that the material and technological conditions were created in three classes, computers connected to the internet and other necessary equipment for the activity.

And, in turn, the general director of the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL), Cláudio Gonçalves, said that the activity is part of the Youth Training Plan and the holding of the first edition of the Provincial Programming Marathon.

He explained that VOIP technology is a device that allows the user to make a voice call over the broadband Internet, instead of a traditional analogue connection.

The official said that the technological training covers the 18 provinces of the country, having already taken place in Malange, Huambo and Bié.
