Africa-Press – Angola. The governor of the province of Icolo & Bengo, Auzílio Jacob on Wednesday advised the young generation in the municipality of Sequele, to learn about Angola’s historical path to National Independence, which took place on Nov 11, 1975.

Speaking to an audience of 700 young people who have been participating in the first provincial youth camp since Monday (July 7) in Funda commune, the Governor said that without knowledge of the past, there is no way to avoid mistakes from this period, to prepare for the present and envision the future of a country.

Speaking on the topic “Angola’s Trajectory in the Context of 50 Years of National Independence,” he emphasized that young people are the guarantors of a nation’s continuity, and there is no other path than preparing themselves to assume key positions in guiding the country’s destiny.

Meanwhile, nearly 50 years later, young people are urged to dedicate themselves to academic, technical, and professional training, aiming for the country’s development.
