Africa-Press – Angola. The Provincial Youth Council (CPJ) of Cunene gathered 805 young people this Saturday in Namacunde, Cunene, to balance the activities of 2022 and foresee new actions for the current year.
The mentioned meeting that marked the opening of the associative year, was guided by the executive secretary of CPJ in Cunene, Praia Chivela.
During the meeting, issues related to access to housing, land for directed self-construction, the granting of credits for the promotion of entrepreneurship, among other concerns, were reiterated.
The organization’s executive secretary, Praia Chivela, guaranteed that the CNJ will continue to advocate, with the Government, in the most varied chapters of young people’s lives, with a view to providing solutions to those concerns that still plague the youth of the six municipalities of the province of Cunene.
He recalled that the main concerns that concern young people are related to employment, access to housing, more secondary schools, as well as access to university education.
In this sense, he encouraged the municipal councils to streamline their activities and be closer to young people in the communities so that their concerns are translated into solutions.
Despite the difficulties, Praia Chivela asks local youth to strive for patriotism and participate in initiatives aimed at cooperating and helping communities, such as in cases of natural catastrophes, such as floods.
Among other projects, the Provincial Youth Council in Cunene implemented, in 2022, the project called Volunteer Literacy Brigade, which is helping citizens to learn to read and write.
