Africa-Press – Angola. Five guarantees judges, spread across the municipalities of Mbanza Kongo and Soyo, started this Tuesday to exercise their functions in the province of Zaire.
According to the guarantees judge, João António Sebastião, speaking to the local radio, in a first phase, the five magistrates will attend to four other municipalities in the province, namely Cuimba, Nzeto, Tomboco and Nóqui.
He added that the entry into office of guarantee judges throughout the national territory marks a new stage for Angolan justice.
He explained that of the five judges, three were placed in the municipality of Mbanza Kongo and two in Soyo.
The province of Zaire has an estimated population of over 500,000 inhabitants, spread over six municipalities, 25 communes and 711 villages.
