Africa-Press – Angola. The attorney general of Zambia, Mulilo Kabesha, recognized the advances and successes obtained by Angola, in the scope of asset recovery and in the fight against corruption.

Mulilo Kabesha, who is on a week-long working visit to Angola, to exchange experiences, within the scope of asset recovery, met with the Attorney General of the Republic, Hélder Pitta Gróz.

Considering Angola’s efforts to be well known, the Zambian prosecutor expressed his desire to work with the Angolan Attorney General’s Office, in the field of training, in order to implement new dynamics in his country.

Recently, Angola obtained a positive evaluation, at an international level, in the context of the fight against corruption, mainly due to its dynamics in the asset recovery process.

During the meeting, Hélder Pitta Gróz was accompanied by the Deputy Public Prosecutor of the Republic, Inocência Pinto, and the Deputy Public Prosecutor for the Military Sphere, Filomeno Octávio, among other entities.

The delegation from Zambia included the directors of the Public Ministry, Gilbert Phiri, of investigation of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Ramond Chibola, the head of State Lawyers – National Authority for Criminal Procedure, Mutinta Chilufya, and the senior investigation officer of the Commission of Anti-Drug and Money Laundering Investigation, Ephraim Chipilipili.

The Zambian ambassador to Angola, Lawrence Chalungumana, also participated in the meeting that took place at the headquarters of the Attorney General’s Office.

The Zambian delegation will visit institutions that participate directly in the fight against corruption, recovery and asset management, specifically the Financial Information Unit “UIF”, the General Coffer of Justice “CGJ”, the Institute of Asset Management and State Participation” IGAPE”, the Heritage of the Ministry of Finance and the National Directorate of Investigation and Penal Action “DNIAP”.
