Africa-Press – Angola. Around 25 Zambian companies intend to set up business in the province of Moxico in the areas of road construction, agriculture, mining and commercial banking.
The information was passed this Saturday by the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Moxico, Agrione Manuel, regarding participation in the Solwezi International Expo, held in the northwestern province of Zambia, lasting two days , held under the motto “Promoting business partnerships for sustainable growth”, which was attended by businesspeople from Moxico.
According to the official, at the end of the Expo a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two regions, which aimed to create a strategic cooperation partnership, in ways that allow businesspeople from the two Provinces to find facilities in carrying out business. .
He added that businesspeople from that neighboring country are also interested in investing in the sectors of Beekeeping and Natural Medicine, in the province of Moxico.
During the event, the Moxico delegation presented various business segments, linked to the sectors of agriculture, service provision, as well as timber exploration.
The provinces of Moxico and Northwest Zambia recently held a regional cooperation and cultural exchange forum, which took place from October 30th to November 2nd, in the city of Luena.
He added that the Executive remains committed to the best options that provide policy measures to be adopted to make the economy diverse, inclusive, resilient and prosperous, aiming for the well-being of citizens.
The Angolan Executive has created several incentive policies to attract private investment, through the implementation of legislation that makes it easier for national and foreign investors to implement business in Angola.
In this context, the provinces of Moxico and Northwest Zambia recently held a forum for regional cooperation and cultural exchange, which took place from October 30th to November 2nd, in the city of Luena.
At the end of the meeting, co-chaired by provincial governors Ernesto Muangala (Moxico) and Robert Liehfu (Northwest Zambia), the delegations signed several agreements in the economic, defense and security, social and cultural fields.
The province of Moxico has diverse economic, cultural, tourist and mineral potential that remains “virgin” for exploration, with a view to contributing to the economic diversification of the country.
In terms of natural resources, the region is rich in wood, arable land, diverse rivers, honey and minerals, and there is already a company in the region that is carrying out prospecting studies to begin the mineral exploration process in the municipality of Upper Zambezi.
