The Tshomankane family say they have indicated to all the relevant stakeholders, such as government, their intention to inaugurate Pilane Motshwegwe as the traditional leader of Bakgatla ba Kgafela in Moruleng. This will change the age old tradition, that the paramount chief in Mochudi, Botswana, in consultation with the royal council, appoint the Kgosi in Moruleng. The Tshomankane family say they cannot take instructions from a traditional leader in Botswana.
