Africa-Press – Botswana. The Botswana Mining Show 2025 will run from October 22 to 24 at Ditshupo Hall in Gaborone. Organisers expect over 10 000 participants, 150 exhibitors, and 50 speakers from around the world.

Speaking at a press briefing in Gaborone, Event Project Lead Ms Boikanyo Kgosi said the show aims to unite industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers to “redefine what mining means for the future.” She highlighted the shift toward sustainable practices, advanced technology, and initiatives that positively impact communities.

“We are entering a new era where mining is not only about extraction but about sustainability, technology, and transforming lives,” Ms Kgosi said.

The 2025 event will focus on innovation, green mining, and value addition. Exhibitors will showcase advanced technologies in exploration, automation, and workplace safety. The forum will provide insights into global best practices and emerging trends shaping the mining sector.

President Advocate Duma Boko is scheduled to attend, adding prominence to the event. His presence is expected to reinforce government support for initiatives that drive sustainable mining and economic growth.
