Officers answered questions, distributed educational materials, and offered guidance on how the public can collaborate with law enforcement to maintain safety and security.
Participation in the 10 x 10 Challenge allowed the Botswana Police Service to build stronger connections with the community in an informal and interactive setting. Events like these provide opportunities for officers to showcase transparency, approachability, and the broader role of policing beyond enforcement.
The BPS emphasized that community engagement is central to effective policing. By participating in public events, the service reinforces trust, encourages dialogue, and promotes awareness of safety initiatives. The involvement in the Gaborone Striders Challenge illustrates the agency’s commitment to proactive engagement, fostering a safer and more informed community.
