Africa-Press – Botswana. Sowa Town police are pleading with revellers who are yet to travel to Makgadikgadi Epic festivities to be cautious when driving along the A3 road.

Police revealed that A3 road is thin, dumpy and has pot holes, hence urging motorists to exercise extreme caution when driving on this road. Reached for an interview, Sowa Town Police Station commander, Superintendent Tizhani Kobole, said revellers have been arriving in high numbers since Friday and they are expecting more people to arrive for today’s activities.

“We have not yet recorded any accident, but we are pleading with drivers to exhibit better behavior behind the wheel as we have been losing people due to road accidents. However, we are prepared to control the situation as we have already mounted road blocks and we also have speed traps along the A3 road. I am pleading with motorists to drive until they reach Sowa Town before they can indulge in alcohol to avoid unnecessary accidents that usually lead to casualties,” Kobole said.
