The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, son of Pakistani immigrants, elected since 2016, praised on social media and thanked the courage of the four-time Olympic champion, Sir. Mo Farah.
“Everything that Sir Mo has gone through proves that he is not just one of the great Olympic athletes, but a truly great Brit.”
He added: “Thank you Mo Farah for sharing your story, bringing these horrific crimes to light and showing why a safe crossing is so important for those who need it most.”
As for the fear of facing any loss of citizenship, after the confession in the documentary “The Real Mo Farah”, which will be broadcast by the BBC, a British Government spokesman told the AFP news agency that : ” No prosecution will be brought against Sir Mo Farah” , which can be explained by the young age of the athlete, who was not to blame, much less aware of what he was asked to do, lying before the law to enter England.
