Africa-Press – Botswana. The Minister of Defence and Security, Mr Kagiso Mmusi, has thanked women in Gabane-Mmankgodi constituency for supporting him through his tenure as Member of Parliament.
Mr Mmusi invited women in his constituency for a meeting last week Friday and donated a blanket to every woman who attended the as a thank you gesture.
He said their 2019 vote earned him a a cabinet post
Additionally, Mr Mmusi said that he was looking forward to them to vote for him one more time.
He said one of his initiatives was the roads that would be built in Mmankgodi soon.
He advised the women to use the government’s citizen empowerment programmes to improve their living standards. Ms Makgarebe Dintle of Mmankgodi told BOPA that as a parent in Mmankgodi she was impressed and proud of Mr Mmusi.
Ms Theresa Letlole, the Kgosi’s wife, said she hoped that Mr Mmusi would win the elections again to represent the constituency in Parliament for another five years.
