Africa-Press – Botswana. Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, Mr Peng Qinghua paid a courtesy call on Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Phandu Skelemani Monday.
Receiving Mr Peng, Mr Skelemani said Botswana had a lot of things to learn from China, especially benefitting the young people because they were the future of this country.
He said there was a need for cultural exchanges involving young Batswana to learn and appreciate China’s tradition and economic trajectory, which was core to China’s development exploits.
Mr Peng and delegation also met with Acting President, Mr Slumber Tsogwane.
He departs home Tuesday.
