Africa-Press – Botswana. Sir Seretse Khama Airport police are investigating a case in which copper cables belonging to the Botswana Power Corporation (BPC) at an estimated worth of P42,000 were stolen over the weekend.
Station commander, superintendent Mpho Sebako said BPC employees reported the matter on Saturday afternoon after reporting for duty at the Block 7 tower and establishing that the cables had gone missing.
Sebako said they suspect that the cables were stolen on Friday night. “Investigations on the matter are ongoing and efforts to locate and arrest the suspects are ongoing,” Sebako said.
