The Vice President and Minister of Finance, Mr Ndaba Nkosinathi Gaolathe, addressed the first session of the two-day Non-Deal Roadshow meeting today, outlining the government’s strategy for engaging the investment community. The Non-Deal Roadshow is a collaborative effort led by the Ministry of Finance, Bank of Botswana, Botswana Stock Exchange, and Botswana Bond Market Association. Mr Gaolathe emphasized the government’s commitment to ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing liquidity in the secondary market, improving price discovery, diversifying investment instruments, and broadening investor participation, particularly among retail investors.
The roadshow will serve as a platform to communicate Botswana’s investment story and opportunities. It will highlight the country’s fiscal discipline and resilience in facing economic challenges, while promoting the potential of the nation’s capital markets.
